Notes or transcript:  “Misses Abi Ashbrook and Ada Garnett were out for a drive, Sunday, and became frightened at their steed when he tried to show them his speed, but the girls could not see it that way and thought the horse was running away. One of the girls fell out and the other jumped out, fortunately receiving no injuries. The horse was stopped by Mr. Isaac Nowling, near his blacksmith shop.”
