Notes or transcript:  “Some fellow had been hiding around in the bushes near the home of Mrs. W. R. Bagby, last week, and watch was kept, last Saturday night to see if the gentleman? could be captured or identified but he was not seen again. It is thought the fellow was trying to make way with the fine driving team of Mr. Dale Bagby’s. There has been much horse stealing in this part of the country of late and it would be well for all farmers, who are the owners of fine horses, to keep watch at all times. And, too, it might be well for all to take particular notice of all strangers and their teams as they come and go in our community.”
