Notes or transcript:  “A man who gave his name as Bert Clancy and said he lived at Atlantic, Iowa was found on the roadside last Friday near Elmo, by Rev. Ball. The man had been without food for several days and was in an almost helpless condition. He is thought to be insane. Constable Huffstutter, of Elmo, took the stranger to Maryville.”
