Notes or transcript:  “Fred Barrett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Barrett, had a very unpleasant experience with a large sow Friday which necessitated a trip to a doctor’s office. He was nailing a board on the pen in which the sow was enclosed when the brute made a rush for him and struck him on the right temple, cutting an ugly gash. She struck him again and inflicted a wound on his right cheek and knocked him out of reach. Dr. Pierpoint dressed the injuries.”
