Article title:  Gas Plant Explodes

Notes or transcript:  “The Maitland acetylene gas plant exploded last night about 8:30 o’clock. One side of the plant was torn away by the force of the explosion and Mr. C. T. Bartron who had just entered the building was quite severely burned about the face and neck but not seriously. The explosion is thought to have been caused by a lantern which Mr. Bartron was carrying.”
