Baugher Will Filed

The will of the late Jacob Baugher, who died at his home near Skidmore recently, was filed in probate court last Wednesday.  The will was written on March 24, 1911, and was witnessed by Artimus C. Shull, Wm. H. Hoblitzell and H. W. Montgomery.  By terms of the will, Samantha Baugher, his wife, is to receive income from farm, or so much of income as she may require, so long as she remains unmarried, and remainder of income from farm, should any accrue, to be divided among four children, equally, at wife’s discretion.  Should his wife remarry or at her death, the land is directed to be sold or divided among four children, Mary E., George E., Cora S., Allie May.  The personal property directed to be turned into cash and divided among the four children.  Samantha Baugher is named as executrix.

Public Sale!  I will sell at public sale at the J. A. Baugher home 6 miles S. E. of Skidmore and 6 miles N. E. of Graham Thursday, March 6th, 1913 commencing at 10 o'clock, the following property:  Horses -- one bay mare coming 9 yrs old wt 1440, 1 gray registered Clyde mare coming 9 yrs. old wt. 1440, 1 bay mare coming 8 yrs old wt 1760, 1 bay mare coming 5 yrs old wt 1100, 1 gray mare smooth mouth wt 1400, 2 bay mares coming 3 yrs old wt 2760, 2 bay mares coming 2 yrs old, good ones, 2 bay horses coming 2 yrs old, good ones. Geo. Owens will offer 1 bay saddle bred horse coming 4 yrs old wt 1000 and 1 black horse 2 yrs old wt 1100.  Also 1 weanling bay horse colt.  Cattle -- Six head of Red Polled cows 2 ar eto be fresh in April, 2 coming 2 yr old heifers, 6 spring calves (4 heifers and 2 steers)  Implements -- One wagon, hack, hay frame, lister and drill combined, lister, Campbell drill, single shovel plow, bob sled, disc cultivator, John Deere cultivator, 12-inch breaking plow, two sets work harness.  Feed -- 14 tons of timothy hay, 1000 bushels of corn, 300 bushels of oats, some shock fodder.  Terms -- $10 and under cash, 6 months time 8% interest.  Lunch by Ladies of New Hope Church.
