Notes or transcript:  Article reprinted from the Maitland Herald describing the pet wolf of J. L. Betz. Betz sold the wolf to John Goodhart, who “bought him and sent him to Ohio, the state of politicians, where he can run for office, howl for reform and gobble everything in sight.” The article clams that Betz made a sound recording that captured himself playing harmonica while the wolf howled.
