Notes or transcript:  “Frank Manchester put away his shaving tools in C. H. Beverlin’s barber shop last Wednesday afternoon and said he was going to leave on the freight for Forest City for a few days visit. When he got to the depot something or somebody changed his mind, as the last we saw of him he was going east in a buggy. Frank says it is not a very good plan to disappoint expecting friends, but that it is a worse one to disappoint those in trouble.”
