Notes or transcript:  “Mrs. Fannie Dungan received a letter this week, from the family of Dr. J. T. Butler, formerly of this city, but now residents of Brookhaven, Mississippi, in which they state that every member of the family have been down with the yellow fever, the first case appearing September 13, and the last case, Dec. 17. All have recovered, and are now able to be up and around. Their numerous friends in Oregon and vicinity, will be glad to learn that there were no fatal results from this dread disease, in the doctor’s family. – Oregon Sentinel.”
