Collins-Smith

From the April 13, 1905 Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri), page 1:

Collins-Smith Wedding.

By an accute, Cupid sent one of his darts straight to that magic button that operates the joy bells of the human heart, and set them ringing until their sweet chimes were heard within the home of Mr. Robert Smith of Quitman.  On the evening of the fifth inst, his daughter Sylva was united in marriage to Mr. William Collins of Quitman.  The wedding took place at the residence of the bride’s parents.  A goodly number of relatives and friends were present and partook of a bountiful feast that was spread for the comfort of all those who were there to wish the happy young people well along the newly laid out path of life. The words were spoken by Elder W. A. Haynes of this city.

The New Era and all of its friends extend wishes to this young lady, and congratulations to this young man, and trust that the rays of Life’s Ideal Glory may brighten every dark place along the path over which coming years may carry them.
