Notes or transcript:  “M. N. Dougherty, proprietor of the Central Drug Store at Sterling, Nebraska, sent a dollar to H. W. Montgomery and told him to give it to the Standard force to be applied on a year’s reading of the biggest and best paper in the little city of Skidmore. Col. Dougherty has for a partner, Walter Sandifer who is manager of their drug business. We wish to thank them for their cash favor and wish them a flowing success in their business.”
