Notes or transcript:  “One car of South Missouri hogs were unloaded here yesterday for W. J. & J. Skidmore. One of them is a man chaser and made George Patton and Rob’t Dougherty turn heels and run when they attempted to drive him. All efforts to get him into a lot with the other hogs were futile. He swam the river three times and is still at large.”
