Fine Strawberries

It always pays to feed the editor.  From the June 8, 1903 Skidmore Standard (Skidmore, Missouri), page 4:

Fine Strawberries.

Yesterday afternoon when the Standard force were the busiest and almost convinced that they were forgotten by man, a good samaritan came along with encouragement and joy.  Chas. Robbins, of Florida Park, had just picked his first strawberries, gathering over 100 quarts, and remembered us with a nice lot of the choice ones.  Mr. Robbins says he left almost as many in the patch as he picked. We certainly appreciate the treat, as nothing in the world, to our mind, beats Missouri strawberries, sugar and cream.
