Notes or transcript:  “At this time of year there is not a house or store building in town but what has from one to three stove running almost day and night and the owners should be very careful with their fires and see that their lines are not defected. We have noticed quite a number of reports of fires in our exchanges, and nine times out of ten the fires were caused from defective flues. One cannot be too careful with fire.”
