Fishing Party, 1902

It’s a nice day to go fishing.  From the Skidmore Standard, August 8, 1902, page 1:

Fishing Party.

Last Monday morning a fishing party started on an outing to Big Lake.  The party was made up of Miss Torrey and Miss Ashbrook of Skidmore, Mo., Misses Chloe White, Marie Kaull, Katie Fitzmaurice, Floe Cain and Minnie Wylie; Mr. Dodds of Skidmore, Mo., Louis Poindexter, of Hamburg, Iowa, A. J. Cotton, Herbert Thorp and M. E. Rossi.

They would not let Sargent go.  They spent the entire day in boat riding and other amusements and returned at night considerably fatigued after the long drive.  They report a very pleasant time.  — Forest City Star.
