Foos’ horses became frightened last Monday afternoon at a number of turkeys carried by some men, and whirled around suddenly, breaking the tongue of the road wagon to which they were hitched. The mishap occurred at the crossroads east of town. Mr. Foos borrowed a neighbor’s spring wagon and continued on his way to the home of his father-in-law where they had a big Christmas dinner the next day.”
