Fresh Vegetables Once a Week

It’s nice to know that the Skidmore Meat Market offered fresh vegetables once a week. ¬†From the Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri), June 8, 1911, page 4:

Meat Market, fresh and cured meats.  Pork sausages (home made), Swift's premium hams and bacon; full line Heinz's pickles and canned soups, kraut, cabbage and hominy.  Fresh vegetables every Saturday.  W. E. Linville, Proprietor.  D. W. McCool, in charge.
