Notes or transcript:  “Mr. Thomas Horn of Auburn, Nebraska, came to Skidmore, Tuesday and returned home again yesterday accompanied by his daughter, Mrs. Anna Gant. Mr. Horn says his part of the country was visited by a destructive hail storm Saturday evening. The storm’s path was about two miles wide and for twelve miles every vestige of growing crops was shattered, torn and beaten into the earth. Even young orchards were totally destroyed.”
