Notes or transcript:  “A child twenty-two months old fell in a well thirty feet deep containing twenty feet of water, at Garden City recently. It was rescued, after sinking twice, by its grandfather, an aged blind man. The old man climbed down into the well by the aid of projecting rock and caught the child by the feet as it was going down the third time. Neighbors were called and the old man, holding the child in his arms, was rescued.”
