Notes or transcript:  “The jury in the C. G. Jesse trial returned a verdict of manslaughter and recommended that he be sentenced to serve a term of two years in the penitentiary for the killing of Frank Griffin, last April. The case was given to the jury, Friday night at nine o’clock and the verdict was agreed upon Monday forenoon, about ten o’clock.”
