Notes or transcript:  “A. M. Long came in and subscribed for the Standard and the Live Stock Indicator. Squire was accompanied by Oliver Grooms who said he came in to see that the Squire settled up. Mr. Grooms has not been reading the Standard – how unfortunate some people are – and we told him it was against our rules for a man to come in that was not a subscriber unless he subscribed for the Standard, so in order to keep the rule from being broken we will have to send him a copy of the paper.”
