Gypsies in Town

From the April 12, 1906 Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri), page 1:

Gypsies in Town.

A band of Gypsies pitched their tents in the road near the cemetery the latter part of last week.  The band numbers somewhere between 100 and 200 people.  Several persons have availed themselves of the opportunity to have their fortunes told, paying from $1.00 to $2.00 for the revelation of the past and future.

These people seem to be well supplied with money and as far as we know no misdoing can be charged against them.

They broke camp and started east Tuesday morning.
