Notes or transcript:  “Mr. H. A. C. Hasty, the gentleman farmer who lives south of Graham, was in town Monday and Tuesday giving his friends a real, hard, horny handshake. The storm last Thursday evening didn’t do a thing to him, he said, but the wind blew over five of his large hay stacks. The hay did not dry sufficiently to be stacked again until Saturday afternoon; and Mr. Hasty didn’t say so in as many words, but he gave us the impression that his pew was unoccupied during the Sunday School and church service the following day.”
