Installed Cash Register

The Manchester & Dodds hardware and the Barrett Mercantile Co., have installed new and complete National cash registers.  These machines are by far the best and most complete cash registers ever used in the city.  They have five individual cash drawers, a complete cash and account sale record for each clerk, or each drawer, also a paid on account record for each clerk, a debit and credit wholesale record and forty “leven” other records, stamps, etc., which are too intricate for an editor to understand.  All of which have something to do with keeping tab on your money, a thing that doesn’t bother the country editor very much.  When you transact business in any way all you have to do is press the button and the machine does the rest, that is, makes a complete record of the whole transaction.
