Notes or transcript:  Article describing the partnership between Mike Hilgert of St. Joseph and Dr. Still of Kirksville to collect the best herd of Jersey cattle in the world. The men recently went to Coopersburg, N.Y. to buy cattle from importer T. S. Cooper and paid as much as $1,600 per cow. They also visited C. T. Graves with the intention of buying his cow, “Zaza of Menlo,” as a show cow.
