James Parshall’s Cabbage

Gardening news from the Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri) in the October 15, 1914 edition, page 1:

A Many Headed Cabbage.

James Parshall brought to this office Thursday a whole flock of cabbage on one stalk.  Thirteen heads on one stalk of cabbage.  All fair sized and solid.

The heads run from the size of an apple to bigger than your two fists.  It is a cold day when Uncle Jim Parshall can’t produce a few new and novel freaks grown in his garden.  Infact Uncle Jim is pretty near a freak himself, but don’t tell him I said so.
