Notes or transcript:  Large ad for an administrator’s sale at the home of the late Jas. H. Johnston, one mile southwest of Gentry, Mo. The ad gives details about the cattle to be sold. The herd was from the Eagletail Cattle Co., of Tiptonville, New Mexico. The ad says, “Mr. Johnson devoted about 15 years to the selection and breeding of this herd of cattle.” [The ad gives the name as both Johnston and Johnson]
