Notes or transcript:  Article reporting a disease in northwest Missouri that was like a mild version of smallpox. Doctors disagreed as to whether it really was smallpox. Wilson Kaufman of Maitland and his brother, Manuel Kaufman of Graham, came down with the disease, as did the family of J. G. Norman.
