From the February 15, 1906 Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri), page 1:

At two o’clock, Sunday, February 11, Mr. Riley Long and Miss Jane Smith, both of near Quitman, were married, Rev. W. C. Rice officiating.

These young people are well known, the bride being a daughter of John Smith living near Centenary church, southeast of Quitman, and the groom an industrious young farmer of northeast of Quitman.

The young people were suitably attired for the occasion, and after the ceremony an elegant repast was spread to the friends present, only a few of the near relatives being invited.

They will be at home to their friends on the farm lately purchased by Frank Tarpley of Mr. Barnard.

Good wishes go with these young people.
