Notes or transcript:  “Two of the rural mail carriers had troubles of their own the latter part of last week when the roads were so icy. Friday one of Howard Lyle’s horses fell and in the struggle to regain its feet, broke the doubletree bolt. It was then the horses’ opportunity to bolt, and they bolted, leaving Mr. Lyle sitting in his buggy. They were caught a mile and a quarter from the place where the accident occurred. The following day Ed Fargo had a mishap. One of his horses fell and broke the buggy tongue.”
