Lyle-Parrish

Postmaster Howden foretold the following earlier in the year, and the June 10, 1902 Skidmore Standard reported it on page 1:

Lyle-Parrish

Howard C. Lyle and Miss Grace Parrish were united by the tie that binds, Sunday evening at 6 o’clock, Rev. Lane Douglas officiating.  The wedding occurred at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Douglas southeast of town.  After the conclusion of the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Lyle came up to town to the residence of the bride’s parents and ate the wedding supper.

Mr. Lyle is carrier on the rural route number one.  His parents live near Parnell.  The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Parrish, and is one of Skidmore’s girls, having been born and raised here.  Mr. and Mrs. Lyle will go to housekeeping immediately.  They are beginning right by ordering the Twice a week Standard to make regular visits to their home.
