Notes or transcript:  “Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Littler entertained a number of their young friends and neighbors, at their beautiful country home west of town, last Friday evening, in honor of Mr. Ephraim Medsker, who leaves soon to attend school the coming winter at Quincy, Illinois. Various amusements, together with delicious refreshments, consisting of ices, cake and lemonade, made the evening pass all too quickly and it was not until a late hour that goodnights were said. Mr. and Mrs. Littler certainly understand the art of entertaining.”
