Last name, company name or subject:  Medsker

First name:

Middle name or initial:

Article title:  Get Ready for the Assessor

Notes or transcript:  “Saturday before last was the 1st day of June and as that is the day the assessor reckons all earthly possessions that are subject to taxation, such as cash on hand, notes, bonds, live stock, lands, etc., it would be a good idea to get a note book and make a minute of all taxable property and keep it handy so that when assessor Medsker calls on you, you can readily give him the necessary information. As it takes several weeks to make the rounds over the township your memory may not serve you and something may be forgotten.”
