Notes or transcript:  Brief article reporting that G. W. Merritt returned last Friday with a 1,900 pound Percheon stallion, considered to be “the finest horse of this breed ever brought to Skidmore.” L. F. Hammond said the horse was the finest he had ever seen. The horse was available for breeding at the Appleman livery barn in Skidmore.
