Obituary for Miss Bertha Linebaugh

In case Miss Linebaugh’s relatives might like to have it, we offer the following, printed in the February 7, 1907 edition of the Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri) on page 4, columns 2-3:

Miss Bertha Linebaugh died at the home of her father, seven miles northeast of Clearmont, Tuesday evening, January 29, 1907, aged 18 years, 9 months and 5 days.

The funeral services were held at the house Thursday afternoon, January 31, conducted by Rev. G. W. Norris, of Clearmont, after which the remains were taken to the Hazel Dell cemetery and laid to rest.

The deceased was born in Page county, Iowa, March 24, 1888.  Her mother and two brothers have preceded her to the world of spirits, the mother dying when Bertha was but seven years old.

Bertha had been afflicted with consumption for about a year, but had not at any time been confined to her bed.  — Clearmont News.

Miss Linebaugh was at one time a resident of this town and is quite well known to many of our readers.  At the time she resided here she was a member of the A. R. Havener household but for the past year or more she has made her home with her father, near Clearmont, as is stated in the article taken from the Clearmont News.
