Notes or transcript:  “Last Tuesday evening just before the big rain storm reached our city R. G. Sewell hurried home with his cows from the pasture south of town and was in the barn doing some chores when he ran against a piece of tin, which was fastened to a window frame, and cut his left leg just below the knee. The gash was about 2 1/2 inches long and was cut to the bone. Dr. Pierpoint was called and took four stitches in the wound.”
