Ray Trapp Wins Sales Contest

Congratulations to Mr. Trapp.  From the October 15, 1914 Skidmore New Era:

Wins in Sales Contest.

A former Skidmore boy, Ray Trapp, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Trapp of Skidmore, is making good.  He is salesman for the Loose-Wiles Biscuit Company of Kansas City, and won the contest in the sale of canned goods for his house in the month of August over such strong competitors as St. Louis and Minneapolis.

The following is a letter from the Loose-Wiles Biscuit Co.

Kansas City, Mo., Sept. 30 ’14

We know that you will be pleased indeed to learn that the Kansas City salesman won the contest over the St. Louis bakery for the best showing in carton goods sales record and for this we extend our congratulations to Mr. L. R. Trapp.  During August Mr. Trapp showed an increase of 225 per cent over his carton goods sales of 1913 and this is not fictitious as Mr. Trapp’s sales of carton goods last year were very good.  The increase on his territory is real and is due to good hard plugging.

We know that every Sunshine salesman will be gratified at winning this contest and also be proud of the beautiful record made by Mr. Trapp.
