Notes or transcript:  “Monday was a good day for chickens in Skidmore, anyway a great many were marketed that day, at a good price. Nearly every farmer who came to town brought chickens, and 2,500 pounds were bought by two firms – J. F. Kellog and Sewell & Co. – alone, at from 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 cents per pound.”
