Notes or transcript:  “Village Ordinance. Be it ordained by the inhabitants of the village of Skidmore, Mo., that it shall be unlawful from this date for any person or persons to maintain or set up a stand for the sale of any articles of merchandies on the streets, alleys or vacant lots in said village, unless by the payment of a Village LIcense of the sum of seven and fifty-one-hundredths dollars ($7.50) for each day. This ordinance shall also cover any other entertainment or show or any exhibition held for profit. Approved and adopted this 3d day of July, 1899. – R. F. Stults, Chairman. F. D. French, Clerk.”
