Notes or transcript:  “James Milton was the victim of an unfortunate accident, last Friday. He was hauling hay on T. B. Slaughter’s farm when the wagon upset throwing off him and the load of hay. Jim is almost incapacitated from work as a result of the accident. The bones in his right hand were broken and he received several bruises all over his body, especially about the face. The hay was not damaged.”
