Sunday School Outing at Owens Farm, 1906

From the August 2, 1906 Skidmore New Era (Skidmore, Missouri), page 1:

Gave Outing to Sunday School Class.

C. E. Owens entertained at his Hill Side Farm Sunday, his Sunday School class, consisting of eighteen girls, ranging in age from 10 to 14 years.  Assisting in entertaining were the Misses Ona Wade, Maud Hutt and Grace Bohannan.

The girls had the time of their life, horse back riding and eating peaches and ice cream. J. S. Mitchell and three daughters were there also to help make the day pleasant, and last but not least H. W. Montgomery and the jolly depot agent, G. L. Owen came about 5 o’clock, so that spoiled the balance of the ice cream.
